Kilconerion charity road race was a great sucess again this year raising 1800 euro for the Alan Kerins charity.  To date the race has profited 5000 euro, from two annual road races and a special tribute night for local sports star Olive Loughnane . Last year the organisers gave 1500 to the charity Bothar.

Earlier on this year over 1500 euro was awarded to local Senator Ciaran Cannon and Councillor Michael Meaher  for their cycle to Lourdes in aid of children with special needs. This year 1800 euro was presented  to Alan Kerins for his ongoing african projects . Not bad for 12 months work. Hopefully we will see you all in Kilconieron next Feburary for its next annual charity race spear-headed by local Craughwell athletics member Niall Callanan.  This accurately measured, scenic and challenging course provides the ideal build-up race for the Craughwell 10.
