A: Craughwell Community Hall, St. Michaels hall, Craughwell village.

Q: Is the course accurately measured?

A: yes it is.

Q: Is this race Athletics Association of Ireland (AAI) certified?

A; Yes.

Q: Is he event chip timed?

A; Yes.

Q: Where can I park?

A: Parking is available in the village but is limited, please carpool if possible.

Q: Where do I get my race number and chip?

A: These can be collected the day before and on the morning of the event in the community hall.

Q: Can I walk the course?

A:Yes walkers are more than welcome.

Q: Are there age restrictions?

A: Yes, all runners/walkers must be over 18 on the day of the event.

Q: What time does the race start?

A: 1pm sharp.

Q: Where does the race start?

A: Just alongside the railway bridge on the slip road off the Galway road, 750m from community hall.

Q: Should I wear my race number to the front or back?

A: Always wear your race number on the front.

Q: Are there pacers?

A: No.

Q: Will the roads be closed?

A: No, so please respect the stewards and respect the rules of the road at all times.

Q: Will I get an official finishing time?

A: Yes all results will be posted on redtag timing and linked to here as soon as the event is over and results are collated.

Q: Is the course marked in miles or kilometres?

A: It will be marked in miles.

Q: Will there be water stations on the course?

A: Yes, at 3, 6, and 9 miles and water will be available at the finish line.

Q: What first aid facilities do you have?

A: Order of Malta will be on hand to offer assistance to anyone in distress.

Q: Will there be refreshments available after the race?

A: Yes, refreshments will be available in the community hall.

Q: Will there be toilets?

A: Yes.

Q: Are there finisher's medals?

A: Yes.

Craughwell 10 Road Race 2017.

The 2017 Galway AAI 10 Mile Road Race championships will take place in conjunction with the Craughwell AC 10 mile road race on Sunday March 19th at 1pm. With an exciting new route!

All Galway clubs are encouraged to ensure that they have teams of women and men competing in this fabulous event, which is the main club race for Craughwell AC.

The results of these championships will be based on the race's official result and it's incumbent on all local athletes to be correctly registered, both club and category. Galway AAI will produce the County Championship result and get the winners their medals as soon as possible thereafter.

The Craughwell 10 Mile will take place on Sunday March 19th 2017.  This will be the 8th year of this fantastic event which never fails to deliver an exciting field of local and national athletes.   Incorporation of the Galway 10 mile championship makes for a very competitive day out for all.   Fast flat AAI permitted race and chip timed.
