Sinead Treacy had a superb performance at the National Senior Track & Field Championships held in Santry at the weekend, qualifying for the finals of the women’s 400m in the heats on Saturday in a time of 57.56 and following this up a day later with a fantastic 4th place finish in the final in windy conditions and a sizzling time of 57.13. Also in action, William Fitzgerald placed 7th in the Junior Men’s 5000m in 16:08.80 while the club had 4 athletes in the heats of the Senior Men’s 1500m with Jack Miskella just missing out on making the final in a time of 4:10.70 and Oisin Davis, Kyle Moorhead and Sean Cotter recording times of 4:14.16, 4:14.29 and 4:16.17 in their heats. Sinead Gaffney set a new club record for the distance with a time of 4:50.57 in the heats of the Senior Women’s 1500m.
